Last night I watched the John Stewart show and a film maker was on talking about the 'Incarceration' problem we have in the US nearly 3 Million in prison, jail, parole and probation. There is a film coming out that will frame the issue better than I have been able to (see my blogs encouraging you to read Michelle Alexander"s book, The New Jim Crow).

I spent time this week with my African American son Sam Roley who is a psychology major at MTSU. We talked a lot about the struggles young AA children have when they continue to test poorly and are often frustrated in Tennessee schools with no hope of being equipped for the variety of opportunities that could come their way.
