Why we do what we do....

The Gospel lovingly orders us to simply serve as we have been served...sharing the love that God lavishes on us. This is why we are celebrating tonight with our friends. Shanita, a single mother of twin boys, Savionn and Solathus bought her Hard Bargain home in 2008. Several years of working hard, saving money and studying how to create and manage a family budget has finally yielded a lifetime of dividends for her family. “My grandmother and mother lived in Hard Bargain. It’s a dream come true and a blessing to be here in Hard Bargain. The house is so nice and so big. I have friends and family here. I plan to stay here.”

Believing the Gospel, that Jesus is Lord, is central to every minute of life. A simple walk through Hard Bargain shows the many misunderstandings people have about the under-served. The journey as we are called to “live the Gospel” by residing in community with the poor is the joy of neighborhood renewal one relationship at a time. The Gospel drives all real community development. Faith in Jesus, who is our justice, shows how the Good News drives the believer back to Him as the only answer and relief from poverty. He meets us in the poor.

Serve with a grateful heart today...

Blessing and deep love,

Scott
