It's been a busy week...

Praying today and thinking about the folks that I've spent time with this week....faithful hearts filled with a deep love to care for others. Tuesday evening I attended the ATG banquet held at the Embassy Suites in Franklin. It was inspiring to hear Meredith Kendall's story and think of how Jesus Christ carry's His people through the roughest of times. The ATG 180 program does just that, helping broken people find their way by turning their lives around. Please pray about joining this amazing team of tutors and volunteers who go Against The Grain to serve the poor.

I had lunch with Tommy Rhodes in order to get better acquainted with his marvelous ministry to summer campers known as Barefoot Republic. The difference between BR and other camps is the way they stress opening the camp to mid-state, under privileged students from First Grade through Senior High School. When students go to BR they are sure to meet young people from a variety of backgrounds. Tommy told me they served forty different nationalities at camp last summer. Would you please pray for the nearly one thousand campers coming to Southern Kentucky next year and ask the Lord if you should be involved in helping BR as a volunteer or counselor?

I met Wednesday with Susan Smallwood and Stuart Tutler at New Hope Academy. I am always amazed with every visit to the school just how remarkable a place it is. Please keep your hearts open as you pray for our school and come out to the school one morning at eight am for an all school assembly and devotions. The worship will blow your mind! Join our team as a volunteer or as a tutor or just come pray in the prayer room. Whatever you do do not miss the chance to join this educational movement of God!
